Finally, I'm in action!What I have done for the past 2 days..
- Monday - Sentosa
- Tuesday - National Day Parade (NDP) 2005
Monday!
Finally stepped into the island after 5 years!It is still the same old bored Sentosa with nothing much to see!There are many Japanese and Korean tourists!!!First Stop: Siloso Beach
Not many people around...But 4 babes beside us in BIKINIS!Hahaha~ But pity no hunks around....Dear went for a swim while I sit under the small hut for shade...Guess what....I was sunburnt!My arms and chest are red! The color of a cooked prawn!Sigh..Second Stop: Merlion + Water Fountain
Reached the merlion status!Stopped over and took some photos...Tired after walking!!So sat down and rest while waiting for the water fountain show to start at 5pm...Final Stop: Cable Car Ride Dear wanted to take the cable car back to harbourfront.Scared!!!!!! The last time I sat in the cable car while I was in Genting Highlands in Malaysia.It was 1000 times scary than Singapore.....Manage to pick my courage to sit inside the cabin....But I was still afraid of height!!!Oh god! Still the ride was less than 5 mins! *phew*
Then I went to Suntec City to have steamboat for dinner..
It was a tiring day!
Tuesday!9th August!Singapore's 40th birthday!!!Got myself 2 tixs to the NDP at the Padang...Reached City Hall at about 2 plus for lunch...Then started to make my way to the Padang at 4 pm..It was crowded!First they they teared the tixs, security checks of all bags and the goodie bag!I chose the red one and dear got the blue one!Then proceed to the seats...The sun is bright and sunny!Cap and umbrella to the rescue!!!!!!!!The show finally started at about 5 pm...The hosts are trying to make the spirits high for everyone by making us to do the Padang wave!Then the red lion team make their way by parachutes and it was a tiny red dot initially before we can see them clearly in the sky making their way down to the centre field!There are fighter planes zooming across the blue sky...The show finally started and the atmosphere was very high!Everyone is waving the flags and singing along to the songs.At around 8.10 pm, the first round of the fireworks lighted up the dark sky and everyone was screaming and "wow wow" can be heard!!!!Then 8.30 pm, the second and final round of fireworks were released again!It was so so nice!!!!Finally. the event has ended and as usual, everyone rushing to the nearest exit!!!Hungry! Went for dinner on 9.30 pm and home sweet home at 10.10 pm!My energy has been exhausted for the entire 2 days!
