Today I wear shoes which are totally flat to work.................... Know why?? My feet are tired from the walking @ Chinatown yesterday! Nothing special and every year is the same! Just want to have some CNY mood....... Met up with Yun at Outram MRT then went People's Park Complex to walk around while waiting for Zen and Stella..... About 7.30pm, we went to find the nearest UOB ATM to get some $$..... Then continue the aimless walk to find a place for dinner... Walked..Walked..Walked... After 20 minutes, we ended up at the famous porridge store along the road! PACKED! Went upstairs to grab a table first before placing any orders! Then Zen "voluntarily " went downstairs to order the food!I had sliced fish porridge...Nice!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Also have side dishes to go along.....After the heavy dinner @ 8.45pm, time to proceed to start our "shopping" at palsar malam.Most of the stores are selling similar things......so nothing special to talk about!Oh ya!Remember the straw bag that I have!It is only $5 bucks for the middle and big ones and $2 for the smaller sizes!DAMN CHEAP!In the end, I never buy any...hehehe~We only bought those sugar coated preserved fruits and vege like water chestnut, coconut, lotus see, lotus, ginger, winter melon etc....Most of us bought it and I chose the water chestnut..Not too sweet and crunchy too!As we walked past near to one of the store, Stella told us that it is "BLACK STORE"!!!Over-charged the customers and she was cheated!Read more in her blog!We even saw 1 customer arguing about the prices when they are about to make payment!CHEAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
At about 10.15pm....We are totally exhausted from the walking and squeezing with the crowd!Yun and Stella want to eat durian!In the end, we went back to the side of the porridge store to get the durian and also the chance to sit down and have a rest....Yun and Stella were enjoying the King of Fruits!Me and Zen refused to eat as we don't want to dirty our fingers! Took the train at about 11pm...Home sweet home @ about 12am!It was a tiring!2 more days to Saturday!!!!!
