Finally, balloting is on for Jurong West Flats!We have been waiting for ages.....There are 3 areas to choose from....Yung Sheng Road..Jurong West St 64..Jurong West St 93..We went to see the sample units last weekend....Blk 600 plus..The 4 room was very small!!!!But there are only 54 units and I guess to ballot a front queue number is very tough...So decided to go for the 5 room...The sample unit for the 5 room was not those square shaped design...But living room with an odd shape cos the unit is facing the road...Living room and kitchen was just slightly bigger than 4 room...These are premium flats..Flooring are done for all the rooms and finishings also done for the toliets..Flooring for living room was white homogeneous tiles..still ok...Bedrooms come with ceramic floor...still ok...Toliets..with shower screen..very small....still ok but the tiles was terrible!!!!It was in orange colour!!!! OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!I think I am sadded by the toliets....Hack them off or overlay the tiles....think I cannot stand looking at the colour everytime I use the toliet!Then went over to see 5 rooms further down the street....Spacious as these units are very squarish!Too bad....Blk 900 plus simply too far away from Jurong Point!Also went to Yung Sheng Rd as dear has always like that location so much!Hahaha~But the master bedroom was sooooo small...It was not square and one section of the wall was being "eat in" by the next bedroom..Dear was sadded.....Unless we choose the very corner units which is besides the 4 roomer....Standard flat....so renovation can start from scratch...No matter how, master bedroom must be big!!!!!!Kitchen and living room small never mind...Hahahaha~Both of us decided to go for the Blk 600 plus units..Quite near to central...Bus Interchange, MRT, Jurong Point etc...Bus journey is 1 to 2 bus stops away and walking may take abt 15 to 20 mins...Got to wait for Sept for the results...Oct/Nov to select flats...June 2008 then can collect keys...Hopefully I can be neighbour with my sec sch buddy as she is also choosing the same estate as me!Good Luck to both of us!!!!!!
